We flow from Gold Coast after completing our 3 day trip their and landed Sydney around noon.
We quickly purchased a MyMulti 3 pass for AUD $60. Please mention you are not going to use bus to City and not train. If you are planning to go to Central station by train then its cost around AUD$78.
Again MyMulti pass comes handy to shuffle between Trains, Trams and Bus & Ferry. Remember , this pass does not work in Sydney Monorail.
We used a combination of bus and train to reach central station. First go to T3 -Domestic and alight in a bus to Burwood and get down at Rockdale train station. The bus stops right outside Rockdale train station.
You can take a train from their to Central station. From Central , we took the tram and got down at Capital Square station (First stop from Central Station). Meriton Sydney is right behind Capital Square building.
After a brief rest, we started towards the main attraction, Opera House.
Opera house was beautiful in the evening along with stunning views of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
After a brief photo session, we took a quick ferry to Manly and it took a good 2 hours for round trip to Manly. The ride comes included in your Multi pass.
We started to Blue Mountains around 9 am. Took tram to Central Station and the train platforms ( Platform 7) for Blue Mountains is right near Tram Station.
It is good 2 hours ride to Katoomba. Once in Katoomba, you need to take the shuttle ($2 approx pp) to first 3 sister rock formation . After a brief photo session, we started to Scenic rideway, which again is a 10 min ride from the rock formation.
We just took the cable car ride and did not do any other rides (train etc)
We started to our trip to Sydney and by the time we reached Sydney, it was 4 pm in the evening
We proceeded directly to Circular Quay again for visit to Opera House again. Could not do Opera house tour as it was late already.
On our way back, we did a brief halt to Queen Victoria Building (QVB)
Darling Harbour was 10 min from QVB. But we took the Monorail ($5 pp) as Multipass does not cover it.
After some photo sessions and dinner at the Hard Rock Restaurant , We pretty much winded up our long day.
We pretty much intended to cover Sydney CBD again.
Being from a cricketing crazy country, A trip to Sydney Cricket Ground was very in plan. A
We did a quick SCG tour at 11 am and then proceed to Circular Quay and did the Harbour Bridge Walk.
We did not climb the bridge as the price of AUD $200 pp was too much for us.
Views from Harbour bridge was stunning. Post Harbour Bridge, we did a quick Harbour Cruise and then did a quick walk around Royal Botanical Garden.
The evening was pretty left for the Beethoven Show at Opera House.
Beethoven – ODE OF JOY was playing during our visit. The 2 hours musical experience was great and views were great from CIRCLE C seats.
We just had time to pack and leave Sydney for Singapore by Scoot Airlines.
Sydney is a very busy seat and well connect by public mode of transport. We took good advantage of MyMulti Pass 3 but still had 3 days of pass usage left.
Food was fantastic with lot of options.
Meriton on Campbell street was good. Click here to read the Reviews.
We did not do Zoo’s or Beach much as we did those in Gold Coast.
Overall , good trip and we would like to visit this city again
